Hospitalization following Lung Failure
The comedian’s associate and friend Boaz Hosea, went online to notify the nation of Akuku Danger’s hospitalization. In a social media shaft, he said, “Akuku Danger was admitted at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital-Rongai last week and released, and put on pharmaceutical and now he has been readmitted. Unfortunately, one of his lungs has already crumpled and is currently in the I.C.U.”
His family had also told the public of this seeking monetary support for his medical aid saying, “We are seeking financial aid for our brother who is admitted at the Nairobi West hospital ICU due to lung collapse. He is currently experiencing dialysis. With the several medical procedures involved, we are burdened with an increasing hospital account. Any financial aid will be highly appreciated.”
Other associates and friends also shared his difficulty, including Sandra Ndacha & Professor Hamo who added that the comedian had been born with Sickle Cell Anemia. Akuku Danger was then moved to Nairobi West Hospital for further medication.
On late December 2021, Churchill hosted a New Year’s Eve concert at the Garden City Mall grounds, accompanied by thousands of Kenyans in willingness to usher in the new year. Churchill brought some time off amid the performance and asked the audience to stand with the comic. In a record-breaking fundraiser, they could raise Ksh 400,000 in three minutes. Several Kenyans applauded this. Sandra Ndacha remarked, “But this man @mwalimchurchill Churchill Show tended to raise 400k yesterday for @itsakukudanger in 3 mins. What more can I tell… Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” Maina Kageni counted, “He’s got a heart of gold.”
