Joseph Kulungi, known as Mbosso, is a Tanzanian love song singer and songwriter. His hit songs involve ‘Tamu,’’ hodari’ and ‘Nadekezwa.’

Mbosso’s actual name is Joseph Kulungi. He was born & brought up in Kibiti, Tanzania. He is 30 yrs old as of 2021. He was born on 3rd October 1991.
Mbosso has never shied off speaking about his very humble upbringing. In a recent interview, he said that being a first-born in his family, he had to take care of him exactly when he was still young. He remembers working at a fast-food restaurant to provide for his family. He was raised in Kibiti in Tanzania. He moved to Dar es Salaam shortly after graduating from high school.

Mbosso’s love for music always existed way before he became famous. He always listened to prominent performers and sang their music, imagining a big musician serving before a large audience. Right after he finished high school, he urged his parents to let him transfer to Dar es Salaam to follow the music.
His parents refused him the chance on claims that Dar was a big city loaded with filth, mainly since he was a village boy with no known family member in Dar. He preserved on persuading them, and luckily, one day, they gave in. He left with frivolity but a pair of shoes given to him by his father and a prayer by his mother.
When he reached Dar, he strumbled for a while before Mbubwa Fela, the proprietor of Mkubwa na Wanawe Records, assisted build him. He put him jointly with three other boys, Aslay, Enock Bella & Beca Flavour. A boy band called ‘Wakubwa na wanawe’ (later known as Yamoto band) was formulated. However, the band broke up in 2016 on matters involving money.
Mbosso was quiet, and he went back home to rehearse farming. He even started stealing, an action he regrets. However, Rayvanny convinced him to come to Dar es Salaam to treat Diamond’s brother – Romy Jones’s wedding. He later got inscribed by WCB, Diamond Platnumz’ label. He has since quit the title.

Mbosso got autographed by WCB, which is Diamond Platnumz’s label, on 29th January 2018. After that, he registered an album and released his first single while at Wasafi on 28th January 2018. The single was known as Acceptors. He has since quit the label.

Mbosso has been noted in Tanasha Donna Controversies severally. Rumors stated that Diamond gave Mbosso Tanasha Donna’s car when they parted ways. In addition, diamond had given his Kenyan baby mama the Prado during a celebratory occasion meant to be a baby shower. Diamond has since rejected the claims and even went ahead and made a video showing his fanciers the cars parked in his compound. Tanasha’s car was one of the four.
In 2019, Bosso’s wife, Boss Martha, passed on after a short illness. She was a comedienne on Cheka Tu. By the time of her demise, the couple had a 4-year-old son aged 6. Mbosso reportedly got another gorgeous girlfriend whose name is Rukia Lucky & they welcomed bouncing baby boy Iqram Khan in late 2019.
The bongo artiste presently has three children from three different baby mamas. Apart from Rukia’s, he has 1 child (Jazz) from a Kenyan, Mombasa- based lady & another son (Yunos) from Tanzania.
