Olive Kalekye Burrows is a news anchorperson on NTV. The NTV journalist has interviewed high-profile characters, the most notable being the former president of the United States, Barack Obama, during his visit to Kenya in 2015. She has also polled UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Administrator Achim Steiner, Melinda Gates, John Kerry when he was the United States Secretary of State & Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Jendayi Elizabeth Frazer.

In 2007, she was a Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) intern. She then contributed to several extensive publications such as East African Magazine (EAM), True Love & Destination Magazine.
In October 2007, she entered Nation Media Group, where she worked as a contributor until April 2009.
In 2012, she entered Capital FM, where she became a reporter and was quite good at the job, which she did diligently for the next six years.
In 2018, she joined NTV as a news anchorperson and paired with renowned investigative reporter Dennis Okari. The two have one of the most notable on-screen chemistry that taught many people to suggest they should marry, especially when pictures of her helping Dennis apply makeup appeared online. Speaking to Nation, she was questioned about the picture and responded:
“That photo was not taken with our knowledge. I’m a woman. Deno is a gentleman. And, not that I have much knowledge with makeup, he was doing the immoral thing with the brush, and I liked to help him. I can say we have grown restful with one another, which I would do for a friend. Our chemistry is genuine.”
It is usually awesome when co-anchors get along and build excellent chemistry as it helps them deliver the news effortlessly and keeps the viewers latched on the screens. Besides, people still did not know of Okari’s marriage & were playing matchmakers. Plus, she adds that Dennis furnished great assistance when she began in the early days on
“ We had never met before, and I don’t know, I didn’t know what to anticipate. I didn’t know if he was tight or a snob. Deno was himself, and he allowed me to be myself. He was frank with me. He kept telling me to slow down because I speak very fast. He assisted guide me and improve my skills,” she added.

In an interview publicized by Nairobi News, she described herself as shy and a recluse. However, she loves reading with her famous authors, including Chimamanda Adichie, Malcolm Gladwell & Khaled Hosseini. She described Adichie’s writing as the defining form she likes to emulate. The NTV reporter also said that she loves eating chips & chicken in the interview with her favorite.
